Conquer the data – applications for Mozgalo have started

The student competition Mozgalo organized by an association eSTUDENT celebrates its 5th anniversary this year. Following the introductory motivational lecture in January, applications are open from February 26, and all interested students are invited to participate. New year of the competition brings new changes, and one of them is increased amount of main awards – with introduction of a new award for the best presentation.


Competition Mozgalo is the only student competition in Republic of Croatia in deep analysis of large amounts of data and creation of Big Data solution. Following the needs of market, Mozgalo introduces all students, who want to learn, to a world of computer technology and new knowledge. The aim of the competition is to encourage students to do analytical thinking and to independently develop creative solutions to real problems with help of machine learning techniques, computer vision and statistics, thus gaining new experience and knowledge. Additionally, students are able to develop their communication and business skills thanks to the opportunity to connect with many IT companies.


New change also includes two prize-winning assignments instead of one, and in this year’s competition they will be assigned by Mozgalo’s gold partners, Microblink and ReversingLabs. The most successful students will be awarded with last year’s amount increased by 2 thousand kuna, so the third place will be 6 thousand kuna, and for the second 10 thousand kuna, and the prize for the first place will be 14 thousand kuna. In addition to the first three winning places, the best presentation will be awarded with one thousand kuna. Along with gold partners, competition will be held with a support from silver partners Adacta, AVL, Comminus, Megatrend, SV Group and Vipnet and from bronze partners Crossing Technologies, Infobip, Jane Street, Koios savjetovanje, while association’s strategic partners are INA and Zagrebačka banka.
